Standard & Poor’s 500 Index futures expiring in June fell 0.1 percent to 1,395.1.

Discovery Laboratories Inc. (DSCO) lost 11 percent to $3.10. The drugmaker that develops treatments for respiratory diseases said it will sell stock in a public offering. It didn’t specify the amount.

Dole Food Co. (DOLE) : The global fruit producer reported a fourth-quarter adjusted loss from continuing operations of 2 cents a share, beating the 12-cent loss projected by analysts on average.

JDA Software Group Inc. (JDAS) (JDAS US): The maker of software used to track goods sent to retailers’ shelves delayed the filing of its annual report for 2011 with the Securities and Exchange Commission beyond the March 15 extended due date. The company said it is unable to file because it is still responding to previously disclosed inquiries from the SEC staff about its accounting.

Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. (NBIX) rose 1.8 percent to $8.65. The San Diego-based drugmaker got a buy rating in new coverage at Deutsche Bank AG, which gave a price estimate of $15 a share.

OncoGenex Pharmaceutical Inc. (OGXI) fell 15 percent to $14.85. The drugmaker that develops cancer therapies announced a proposed public offering of its stock.
